Choosing the right language course at our language institute
Different language levels explained
The duration of a language course is determined by your language level and the number of weekly units (one unit = 45 minutes). The number of lessons is in line with the recommendations in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). In order to attend a language course at a given level, you need to have a sound knowledge of the previous level. You can prove this by presenting a certificate or taking a placement test at SprachUnion.

Frequently asked questions about the courses at our language academy
Our language school regularly offers language courses in German and English. However, we can also arrange courses in French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Polish, Russian and Czech. Other languages are available on request.
Our group language courses regularly take place at our office in Chemnitz. But perhaps you live further away and are looking for a language school nearby? Then we’ve got just the thing for you: you can take one of our online courses, or we may be able to organise a language course near you on request.
The costs of a language course depend on the level, course format and the individual preparation required. For group classes, you can find information on the prices on the pages for the individual courses. Prices for private lessons can be requested using our contact form or by email (sprachkurse@sprachunion.de).
The duration of a language course at our language academy depends on your starting level and the number of lessons per week. We follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Depending on the format and intensity, a course can last between a few weeks and several months.
You can register directly online on our website. Choose your preferred format, language and level. A list of dates will be displayed, and you will be able to register easily.
