Frequently asked questions about our German courses

As we don’t have our own office with a reception desk in Dresden, registration for our German courses is through our online booking platform only. However, you can send an email to sprachkurse@sprachunion.de or use our contact form. We will then personally enrol you in your chosen course and module.

In Dresden, each language level (e.g. A1, B1, C1) is divided into two modules that build on one another. You can book both modules together or just a single one – for example if you’ve already completed the other module elsewhere. If this is the case, please provide appropriate proof when registering.

Our courses in Dresden are general German courses. For integration courses, we recommend contacting an approved provider near you.

Our German courses are aimed at people who pay the course fees themselves. Funding through the Jobcenter or BAMF is not currently available for our courses.

Yes, course fees for German courses A1 and A2 can be paid in two instalments, rising to three instalments for courses from B1 level onwards. However, the full course fee must be paid before the exam.

The course fee for each module includes the lessons, the textbook, and the final exam with certificate.

Yes, each module concludes with an exam, for which you receive a language certificate (CEFR).

You will usually receive your certificate about two weeks after the language exam. Since we don’t have our own office in Dresden, it will be sent by post.

The automatic registration confirmation you receive by email is not sufficient for a visa application. For this, you need an official registration confirmation and/or a language course contract. Please use our contact form to request evidence for visa applications.

This advanced language course in Dresden is designed to deepen your existing skills and help you communicate confidently in formal settings. You will explore a wide range of subjects, including professional life, global developments, science, culture, and current affairs. The course trains you to structure extended written texts, deliver short presentations, and engage in substantive discussions. With 220 lessons, this intensive format provides comprehensive coverage of the C1 level.

Deutsch B2 Abendkurs Dresden

In diesem Deutschkurs in Dresden nehmen Sie Ihre fortgeschrittenen Sprachkenntnisse auf das nächste Level und lernen, sich sicher in formellen Situationen auszudrücken. In this language course in Chemnitz, you will extend your good grounding in the German language. Among other things, you will develop your knowledge on the topics of education, leisure time, working life and travel experiences, and learn how to word letters and invitations.

CEFR A2 German Exam

The CEFR certificate (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) can officially confirm your German language skills at level A2. The A2 exam tests whether you can understand and use frequently used expressions and sentences on familiar topics. You can hold short conversations about everyday topics such as family, shopping, work or your neighbourhood and exchange simple information. Reading and listening comprehension, speaking, writing and grammar will be tested.

Please ensure the following points before registering for the exam:

  • Please check in advance whether the CEFR certificate is recognised for your purpose.

  • It is your responsibility to choose the correct language level. If you are unsure, we will be happy to conduct a free placement test. Please contact us in advance.

  • A stable internet connection and a laptop/PC with camera & microphone are required for online exams.

GER C1 Deutsch Prüfung

Sie benötigen ein Zertifikat, um Ihre Deutsch C1 Sprachkenntnisse offiziell bestätigen zu lassen? Mit dem GER-Zertifikat ist dies möglich. GER A1 Deutsch Prüfung

Mit der GER-Prüfung (Gemeinsamer Europäischer Referenzrahmen für Sprachen) können Sie Ihre Deutschkenntnisse ohne vorherige Teilnahme an einem Sprachkurs für das Deutsch Niveau A1 offiziell zertifizieren lassen. In der A1-Prüfung zeigen Sie, dass Sie einfache Sätze verstehen und verwenden können, um grundlegende Bedürfnisse zu äußern. Sie können sich vorstellen, einfache Fragen zu Ihrer Person beantworten und sich in sehr alltäglichen Situationen verständigen, wenn Ihr Gegenüber langsam und deutlich spricht. In der GER-Prüfung werden die Kompetenzbereiche Lesen, Schreiben, Grammatik, Sprechen und Hören geprüft.

  • Bitte prüfen Sie vorab, ob das GER-Zertifikat für Ihren Zweck anerkannt ist.

  • Für Online-Prüfungen sind eine stabile Internetverbindung sowie ein Laptop/PC mit Kamera & Mikrofon erforderlich.
