Our German A1 course is the perfect starting point – an ideal introduction to German as a foreign language and especially suitable for international students planning to study in Germany. Whether you are already in Germany or preparing from abroad, our German A1 courses are ideal for people who want to learn German. We regularly offer both in-person and online courses, giving you flexibility in how you attend.
Many universities in Germany require German A1 skills as part of their application process. Our German for beginners course enables you to achieve this quickly, either online or in Chemnitz.

No, we currently do not offer integration courses.

No, our German courses are self-financed by learners.

Yes, you can pay in instalments. The fees for German A1 and German A2 can be split into two payments, and courses from German B1 onwards can be paid in three instalments. However, you must pay your course fee in full before you can take the exam.

Yes, from your second German language course with us, you get a €50 discount.

Lessons, materials, a course book and a final exam with a certificate.

Yes, every German language course includes an exam, after which you can receive a language certificate.

However, the conversation courses do not include an exam, only a certificate of participation confirming the language level (e.g. German B1 or German B2) for the corresponding language level.

 

About two weeks after your exam. You can collect it from our office, or alternatively, we can send your certificate by post or as a PDF.

Yes, upon request, we are happy to assist our language course participants in finding accommodation for the duration of the language course. Please note, however, that this service is only available to participants of our face-to-face courses in Chemnitz.

The tenancy agreement is arranged individually with the landlords and can also be extended beyond the duration of the course if desired.

German for Medical and Social Professions

Do you work in a hospital or in medical practice, a social institution or a pharmacy? Would you like to improve your German language skills? In this online language course, you will learn how to advise patients competently in German, respond politely to questions, talk about health problems and give advice. You will also consolidate your vocabulary on topics such as the body, health / illness, social and medical institutions, and insurance systems.

Prerequisites: German language skills at level B2.

Please note: Unfortunately, we cannot offer a certified preparation course for the medical language proficiency exam.

German intensive course A1

In this language course in Chemnitz, you will get to know the basics of the German language and the essentials for simple conversation in everyday life, at university and at work. You will learn how to introduce yourself, ask how someone is, talk about family, the weather and hobbies, and have simple conversations in a store.

CEFR C1 German Exam

Do you need a certificate to officially confirm your German C1 language skills? This is possible with the CEFR certificate. The C1 exam confirms that you can use the German language flexibly and effectively at work, at university and in everyday life. You will be able to understand demanding texts, present complex topics in a structured way and express yourself effortlessly and precisely. The competences tested include listening and reading comprehension, writing, speaking and grammar skills.

Please ensure this before registering for the CEFR C1 exam:

  • The CEFR certificate is not always sufficient for some purposes. Therefore, please check in advance whether the certificate is recognised for your purposes.
  • You are responsible for determining your own language level. If you are not sure of your language level, we will be happy to carry out a placement test in advance. Please contact us in good time for this.
  • A stable internet connection and the availability of a laptop/computer with a camera and microphone are required to take the online exam.

CEFR B2 German Exam

With the CEFR German exam, you can officially prove your German language skills at level B2. In the B2 exam, you prove that you can understand complex texts and discussions, even on abstract topics. You can converse spontaneously and fluently, express your opinion clearly and present advantages and disadvantages in an argumentative manner. The exam consists of several parts that test writing, listening, reading, speaking and grammar.

Please make sure of the following before booking your CEFR German B2 exam:

  • Please check beforehand whether a CEFR certificate is sufficient and recognised for your purposes.

  • You decide at your own responsibility at which level you want to test your German language skills. If you have not taken a language course before and are therefore not sure what level you have, you are welcome to take a free placement test with us. Please contact us in advance.

  • If you would like to take an exam online, you must have a stable internet connection and a laptop/computer with a camera and microphone.

CEFR B1 German Exam

Do you already have German language skills at level B1 and just need to have them officially confirmed? Then you can do this with the CEFR exam (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) B1. With the B1 exam, you show that you can express yourself clearly on familiar topics. You understand the most important information from conversations using standard language and can communicate in typical everyday situations in German-speaking countries. The exam tests your writing, reading, listening, speaking and grammar skills.

Please read the following information before booking a CEFR German B1 exam:

  • If you wish to use the certificate for specific purposes, please check in advance whether a CEFR certificate is recognised.

  • Choosing the right language level is your own responsibility. If you are not sure of your language level, we can organise a free placement test in advance. Please contact us in advance.

  • If you would like to take the test online, please ensure that you have a stable internet connection and a computer/laptop with a camera and microphone.

CEFR A1 German Exam

With the CEFR exam (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), you can have your German language skills officially certified for German level A1 without having attended a language course beforehand. In the A1 exam, you show that you can understand and use simple sentences to express basic needs. You can introduce yourself, answer simple questions about yourself and communicate in very everyday situations if the other person speaks slowly and clearly. The CEFR exam tests the competences of reading, writing, grammar, speaking and listening.

In Detail

The language course for the NINERS focuses on helping international players on the Basketball Bundesliga team to settle into their new home in Germany. This includes learning and understanding everyday expressions and simple sentences. During a trial session, our tutor was able to get an idea of the learners’ existing knowledge and then adapt the lesson plans to suit the participants’ priorities. 

English was used as the language of instruction, and it was easy for the club to schedule the course dates directly with our tutor. Within just a few weeks, the players improved their German language skills and were soon able to communicate in German with their team-mates and in everyday life.

German Course A2

In this language course in Chemnitz, you will consolidate and extend the basics of the German language and learn the essentials for simple conversation in everyday life, at university and at work. Among other things, you will learn more extensive grammar and expand your vocabulary to cover topics such as work, leisure, vacation and home life.

German Course B1

In this language course in Chemnitz, you will extend your good grounding in the German language. Among other things, you will develop your knowledge on the topics of education, leisure time, working life and travel experiences, and learn how to word letters and invitations.

German conversation course B2/C1

Our German course C1 is divided into two consecutive courses – first C1.1, then C1.2. Each course comprises 110 lessons.

Prerequisite for participation: Good grounding in the previous level (level B2 for C1.1 and level C1.1 for C1.2)

GER C1 Deutsch Prüfung

Sie benötigen ein Zertifikat, um Ihre Deutsch C1 Sprachkenntnisse offiziell bestätigen zu lassen? Mit dem GER-Zertifikat ist dies möglich. Die C1-Prüfung bestätigt, dass Sie die deutsche Sprache flexibel und effektiv in Beruf, Studium und Alltag nutzen können. Mit der GER Deutsch Prüfung können Sie Ihre Deutschkenntnisse auf dem Level B2 offiziell nachweisen, In der B2-Prüfung weisen Sie nach, dass Sie komplexe Texte und Diskussionen auch zu abstrakten Themen verstehen. Sie können sich spontan und flüssig unterhalten, Ihre Meinung klar ausdrücken und Vor- und Nachteile argumentativ darstellen. Das GER-Zertifikat (Gemeinsamer Europäischer Referenzrahmen für Sprachen) kann offiziell Ihre Deutschkenntnisse auf Niveau A2 bestätigen. Die A2-Prüfung prüft dabei, ob Sie häufig gebrauchte Ausdrücke und Sätze zu vertrauten Themen verstehen und nutzen können.
